Frequently Asked Questions:

Does a watch battery replacement cost $75?  Why am I being asked to pre-approve this much?

Most Polar Receiver (watch) Battery Replacements cost less than $20; with shipping additional.

This includes a new battery installed, check of water-resistance, and check of functions by our technicians.  Polar encourages you to submit your transmitter/related hardware as well.  Included in battery replacement charges is an electronic test of your transmitter and wearlink belt if applicable.  Should your transmitter and or belt fail our testing, we will provide a replacement to you at additional cost.  Also, the watches/receivers often need other repairs in addition to basic battery replacement such as button repair or gaskets.  If you have preapproved our technicians will make the necessary repairs and avoid the delays inherent in estimating, waiting for approvals, etc.

You need not preapprove anything, we will gladly provide estimates in advance if you wish.  This does add time to the process but avoids unexpected costs.  Please note we will never exceed your pre-approved amount without consulting you.  The Polar Repair Form has a section at the bottom where you can enter your credit card or you can request an estimate.
