Frequently Asked Questions:

1.Can I walk my watch in?

Yes, you can bring in your watch during business hours. No appointment necessary.

2. How long does it take/how much does it cost for a new battery in a Swiss Army?

Most new battery replacements can be done "while you wait" for $25.  This service includes a test for water-resistance.

3. If I mail my my Swiss Army for a battery, how long does it take/how much does it cost for a new battery?

This service generally takes a week, and usually costs $40 including return UPS insured.  You can enclose a check, write your credit card # on the note "preapproved" up to a particular amount, or we can call you for payment.

4. Do you stock straps?

The Watchmaker stocks the most common straps for Swiss Army.  Most times these can be installed while you wait.  If you want to know if we have the strap in stock, please call us in advance of your visit with the model number of your watch.

5. What if my watch needs more than a battery to make it work or seal?

We will provide an estimate to you in the event your watch requires repair beyond basic battery replacement.

6. Do you fix Swiss Army Knives?

No.  Click here for Swiss Army Knife Repair

7. Do you repair Swiss Army Alarm Clocks?

No.  These are no longer repairable.

8. My Swiss Army is under warranty- how do I get it repaired?

We can provide warranty service for Swiss Army watches.   There is a $10 charge to process your repair request.  Proof of purchase is required and watch must be less than 3 years old.  If the watch is opened by ANYONE other than a Swiss Army service center the warranty is void.

9. I have a Wenger or a Swiss Military watch, is this a Swiss Army?

No, these are not made by Victorinox.  Most Wenger and Swiss Military watches can still be repaired here.  No factory warranty repairs are available for these brands via The Watchmaker.
